Security Architect
Location: Fountain Valley, CA – Onsite 
Length: 12 months + Contract to Hire
Start: ASAP
Interview: Video

Develop and implement security strategies to help protect the assets of the company. Work closely with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) team to strategize on the best protocol for each situation, manage the hiring and training process for other security personnel, and otherwise oversee daily security needs. Note: Must be onsite at least 3-5 days each week.

Responsibilities:

Remain up to date on all current security solutions and products.

Be intimately involved in the monitoring, operation, and actioning of security products used by the organization (see Skills Required below)

Manage a team of security engineers, and build a program around monitoring, detection, and response to reduce risk in the environment.

Requirements:

• 8-10 years’ experience in related IT management position and working in a corporate environment
• High level understanding of the major operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux/Unix).
• High-level understanding of server/virtual machine and network architecture and their security dependencies.
• Deep level understanding of network concepts such as routing & switching, subnetting, DCHP, DNS, etc.
• Endpoint Security, including Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), AV (Antivirus), DLP (Data Loss Prevention)
• High level knowledge and able to manage a team working on Web filtering (e.g.: Palo Alto, Forcepoint, Sophos, etc.) solutions and their operation
• High level knowledge and able to manage a team working on Web Application Firewalls solutions and their operation
• High level knowledge and able to manage a team working on Privileged Access Management (e.g.: Okta, Cyberark, etc.) solutions and their operation
• High level knowledge and able to manage a team working on Intrusion Detection & Prevention (e.g.: Tipping Point, FirePower, etc.) solutions and their operation
• High level knowledge and able to manage a team working on Network Access Control (e.g.: Cisco ISE) solutions and their operation
• High level knowledge and able to manage a team working on SIEM (Security Information & Event Management) (e.g.: Splunk, InsightIDR, etc.) solutions and their operation
• High level knowledge and able to manage a team working on Vulnerability Scanning (e.g.: Tenable, Rapid7, etc) solutions and their operation
• High level knowledge and able to manage a team working on Email Gateway/Security (e.g.: Mimecast, Proofpoint, Sophos, Symantec, etc.) solutions and their operation

CERTIFICATIONS:

CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCISP preferred
