Release Train Engineer (Hybrid -3 days onsite)
Location :Charlotte, NC
Contract: 9 month contract
Overview:
Overseeing the overall operations of the Agile Release Train, ensuring cross functional teams are aligned and working towards shared objectives.
Key job responsibilities:
- Managing and facilitating agile process events ensuring smooth execution and productive outcomes.
- Acting as a coach to Scrum Masters and Agile teams within the enterprise, promoting agile principles and practices.
- Identifying and addressing roadblocks that hinder team progress, escalating issues when necessary.
- Proactively identifying potential risks and working with teams to mitigate them. Maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, including product owners, business leaders, technology leaders, and technical architects, regarding project status and progress.
- Driving ongoing improvement within the release process by analyzing metrics, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing necessary changes.
- Identifying and managing dependencies between different teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Qualifications:

Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in release management or agile coaching, preferably in a complex, multi-team environment.
- Proven experience managing Agile Release Trains (ART) within a scaled agile framework (SAFe) or similar methodologies.
- Deep understanding of agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
- Ability to coach and mentor teams in adopting agile methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive timely resolution.
- Experience with risk management and the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential challenges.
- Familiarity with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, VersionOne).
- Ability to utilize metrics and data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
