Azure DevOps Engineer (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Location: Issaquah, WA 98029
Length: 7 months (potential extension)

Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-availability cloud and on-prem infrastructure. This role is critical in supporting CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and enterprise Azure services across development, test, and production environments. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, and DevOps automation and thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Responsibilities:

Configure, maintain, and optimize on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure to support development, testing, and production workloads.

Design, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tooling.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and scripting languages.

Deploy integrated and standalone application releases across multiple interconnected environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, and production issues with a focus on automation and root-cause analysis.

Support containerized and microservices-based architectures using AKS.

Maintain and enhance DevOps tooling including Azure Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, and other Azure DevOps components.

Develop tool integrations enabling end-to-end traceability from requirements through deployment.

Implement security best practices including certificate management, encryption, access control, and compliance standards.

Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams within Agile delivery models.

Establish and document DevOps workflows, branching strategies, and best practices.
Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Azure DevOps
-
8+ years of experience with CI/CD and automation
-
5+ years of experience provisioning and managing Azure services
-
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform
-
Strong experience with Azure DevOps including Repos, Pipelines, and Artifacts

AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)

OAuth 2.0

Azure App Service, Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, VPN Gateway

Web Application Firewall

Azure API Management (APIM)

Azure Cosmos DB and Durable Functions

Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python

Experience with containerization and microservices architectures

Experience with APIs and Web Services

Working knowledge of networking concepts including LAN, WAN, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancers, and system monitoring

Working knowledge of XML, JSON, and Infrastructure as Code concepts

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
