Mobile Device Test Engineer (Remote or onsite)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Mobile Device Test Engineer with hands-on experience in Android and iOS mobile platforms, a deep understanding of the wireless telecom ecosystem, and a passion for emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will manage and execute end-to-end testing activities — from test planning to certification — while collaborating with OEMs, partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and performance of cutting-edge mobile devices and accessories.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and procedures for wireless products and mobile accessories.

• Manage bug tracking, reporting, and resolution, including software upgrades using OEM tools.

• Oversee test sample inventory, including device distribution, activation, and firmware management.

• Validate OEM and test partner results through regression and random testing cycles.

• Execute software certification testing (Maintenance Releases and Security MRs).

• Compile and analyze test data, collect logs, and generate detailed engineering reports.

• Maintain issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and ensure timely updates.

• Conduct field testing, troubleshoot device and network issues, and monitor customer-reported problems.

• Support deployment and adoption of new testing tools and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in mobile device platforms (Android/iOS).

• 7+ years of experience in wireless telecom and network technologies (LTE, 5G RF, Core).

• 5+ years of experience with testing tools and automation frameworks.

• Strong proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and bug-tracking workflows.

• Proven ability to plan and execute functional, regression, and feature test cases.

• Experience with GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and WiFi technologies.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
