Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce Consultant (Fully Remote) 
Location: Bothell, WA 98021
Length: 2 month contract (potential extension)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce Consultant with strong expertise across Dynamics 365 Commerce, Finance & Operations (F&O), CRM/Customer Engagement, and Shopify.

This is a client-facing, techno-functional consulting role focused on helping organizations design, implement, and optimize end-to-end commerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of omnichannel commerce, retail transformation, eCommerce, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 and be comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders.

The consultant will serve as a trusted advisor, leading discovery workshops, defining business processes, contributing to solution architecture, and helping clients successfully adopt Microsoft best practices and standard business processes.

Responsibilities

Business Consulting & Solution Design

• Lead discovery workshops, requirements gathering, and business process analysis.
• Evaluate current-state processes and define future-state operating models.
• Design end-to-end omnichannel commerce solutions spanning retail, eCommerce, customer engagement, fulfillment, and finance.
• Develop solution blueprints, process flows, functional designs, and business requirements.
• Recommend solutions that align with Microsoft Dynamics 365 best practices and standard functionality.

Dynamics 365 Commerce

• Lead functional implementation and optimization of Dynamics 365 Commerce.
• Configure and support:
  • Product Information Management
  • Pricing and Promotions
  • Order Management
  • Commerce Scale Unit
  • Omnichannel sales channels
• Help organizations improve digital commerce and customer experiences.
• Support integration between Dynamics 365 Commerce and other Microsoft platforms.

Dynamics 365 F&O & CRM

• Provide functional consulting expertise across Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Support integration and business processes between Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain, and CRM.
• Work with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications, including Sales and Customer Service.
• Advise clients on order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, warehouse, and customer experience processes.

Shopify Integration

• Design and support integrations between Shopify/Shopify Plus and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Analyze integration requirements and collaborate with technical teams on APIs, data flows, and system architecture.
• Help ensure seamless data and transaction flow across eCommerce and Dynamics 365 platforms.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Lead client workshops, design sessions, and solution discussions.
• Present recommendations and communicate business value to technical and executive audiences.
• Collaborate with architecture, delivery, development, and presales teams.
• Support project governance, risk management, and executive communications.

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of IT industry experience.
• 7+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 consulting experience.
• Proven experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce / eCommerce solutions.
• Strong functional consulting experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM / Customer Engagement.
• Hands-on experience integrating Shopify or Shopify Plus with Dynamics 365.
• Experience with omnichannel retail and eCommerce implementations.
• Strong client-facing consulting and stakeholder management experience.
• Ability to lead workshops and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
