eCommerce Business Analyst
Location: Remote – Possible travel to Melville, NY

eCommerce Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) work alongside Project Managers, Tech Leads, and Solutions Strategists to help our clients find the best eCommerce solutions for their business. BSAs are strategists that work with clients to translate ideas into business requirements and acceptance criteria. They play a critical role in the process of taking concepts and turning them into actionable work for our development teams. A BSA will find their days composed of meetings with clients, Project Managers, and Solutions Strategists consistently focused on ensuring that Trellis and our clients are aligned on requirements.
We’re looking for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, embrace processes and organization, are detail-oriented, and enjoy using data to inform their decision-making.
The platform is SAP CCv2 (Hybris) but experience with other ecommerce platforms would be acceptable.
Core Responsibilities
Below are some of the core responsibilities our eCommerce Business Systems Analyst have:
- Gathers, translates, and documents client requirements.
- Supports full-build and retainer projects as a project leader, in conjunction with the assigned Project Manager, Technical Lead, and associated project leadership roles.
- Supports Project Managers during initial project setup, assists with deliverable creation, and ensures overall delivery process adherence.
- Performs requirements validation, owns client deliverable documentation efforts, and performs UAT demonstrations.
- Serves as a platform specialist able to perform app configuration, data migration, content implementation, and admin panel configuration work.
- Refines backlog and establishes a body of actionable work via JIRA.
- Schedules and leads client meetings to refine and define user stories with acceptance criteria.
Relevant Experience
Below are some of the relevant experiences that would make someone a good fit for this role:
- Experience with eCommerce platforms including BigCommerce, Shopify, and/or Magento.
- Leading or collaborating on software development projects.
- Scoping software development projects for clients
- Working in a digital eCommerce-focused agency.
- Creating and translating business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Performing validation and testing.
- Delivering demonstrations and presentations to client
