Cybersecurity End Point Protection Engineer
Location: REMOTE
Length: 12+ months

Responsibilities/Job Duties/Job Description/Qualifications:

• End Point Protection experience with such products as below. They are in a POC to choose one of the following, engineer will support implementation of Pfizer chosen solution of either:

  1. Carbon Black
  2. McAfee
  3. ARIA Cybersecurity

• Understand End Point protection at an Engineering and operations level.

• Application White Listing: notify any new SW on Systems, advising if it should be allowed or not.

  • “Application whitelisting is the practice of specifying an index of approved software applications or executable files that are permitted to be present and active on a computer system. The goal of whitelisting is to protect computers and networks from potentially harmful applications.”__

• Take Direction from Pfizer and execute on direction regarding onboarding security application, determine controls and administration of security application.

• Securing older technology assets and applications that may have older out of date security solutions.

• Understand End Of Life security for assets

• Ability to understand one off solutions as and if needed

• Secure Clinical trial assets, parts of Pfizer research arm, possibly some OT assets – remediation of 5000 unprotected assets and applications

• Administer Policies

• Administer Windows and Linux OS experience. Support Windows Servers

• New Changes to App Controls – Switches, Whitelisting and Change Controls.

• Day to day management of security operations.

• Work on execution phase of project not stand up phase.

• Ability to work independently.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Network technology background, Network and/or host based
  • Understand Network Segmentation
  • Network Traffic inspection
  • Network Solution Architect / WAN experience
  • Network Firewall experience
• Information Security Cyber experience
• Understanding of End Point protection at an Engineering and operations level is REQUIRED.
