Functional Business Analyst (Fully Onsite)
Location: Carlsbad, CA 92011
Length: 12 month contract (potential extension)

Overview:

We are seeking a Functional Business Analyst to join our Global Operations team in Carlsbad, CA. This role will support Distribution, Warehouse, and Logistics business functions and associated systems, including Level 2 support for enterprise platforms such as Manhattan WMOS (2010 & 2018), Oracle EnterpriseOne (E1), SAP, BAAN, and Precision/TRAX-TMS.

The Business Analyst will also support key strategic initiatives including Logistics Control Tower implementations, machine automation integrations, transportation projects, Power BI reporting, and network upgrade initiatives.

 Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering, Design & Development

• Gather and analyze business requirements to develop BRDs, FRDs, and SRS documentation through stakeholder workshops and working sessions.

• Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.

• Document business use cases, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and support solution validation.

• Design system solutions aligned with business requirements and IT architecture standards.

• Develop detailed functional designs including data models, process flows, and system interface documentation.

• Partner with system analysts, architects, internal development teams, and vendors to coordinate solution delivery.

Support & Maintenance

• Provide Level 2 production support, including incident resolution and break/fix management.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures using:

  • Oracle PL/SQL

  • MS SQL Server Management Studio

• Maintain test scripts and database SQL scripts for defect retesting and ongoing system validation.

• Monitor system performance and support regular maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory):

• 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst supporting Manhattan WMOS (2010 & 2018).

• 3+ years experience with Oracle PL/SQL.

• 2+ years experience supporting Pick, Pack, Ship (PPS) processes.

• 1+ year experience building reports using Power BI.

• Experience with Oracle EnterpriseOne (E1) or similar ERP systems.

• Strong experience supporting Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, and Order Management systems.

• Experience writing stored procedures and database scripts in MS SQL Server and Oracle environments.
