Process Mapping Specialist – Finance Transformation(Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Location: Baltimore, MD 
Length: 9 month contract (potential extension)
Overview:

We are seeking a Process Mapping Specialist to support large scale Finance Process Optimization initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for translating workshop outputs, subject matter expert insights, and high level process documentation into standardized, execution ready process maps aligned with firm approved mapping standards.

This role plays a critical part in helping stakeholders visualize end to end finance workflows, identify operational improvement opportunities, and support transformation initiatives across global finance teams.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with process modeling tools such as SAP Signavio and Microsoft Visio and the ability to convert complex business processes into clear and structured visual artifacts.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Mapping & Documentation

• Develop, refine, and maintain current state and future state process maps using firm approved process mapping systems.

• Translate complex finance processes into clear, structured visual workflows aligned with firm standards and required finance data attributes.

• Convert workshop discussions, SME inputs, and high level documentation into detailed process models.

Collaboration & Process Alignment

• Partner with process facilitators, process optimization leads, subject matter experts, and delivery teams to ensure mapping outputs are accurate and execution ready.

• Ensure consistency across mapped processes by applying firm guidelines and best practices for process documentation.

• Help stakeholders clearly understand end to end processes, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.

Process Governance & System Management

• Maintain access control and periodic updates for finance data attributes within approved process mapping tools.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enhancements or updates related to process mapping systems.

• Ensure mapping artifacts meet quality, compliance, and documentation standards.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in process mapping, process modeling, or process optimization roles.

• Strong experience using SAP Signavio and Microsoft Visio for process documentation.

• Proven ability to translate workshop discussions and SME insights into structured process maps.

• Experience supporting Finance transformation or finance process optimization initiatives.

• Strong understanding of process modeling methodologies.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
