Sr. Finance Transformation Consultant – SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning (Hybrid- 4 days onsite, Friday’s remote)

Overview: 

We are seeking a Senior Finance Transformation Specialist to serve as the business lead for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning initiatives. This individual will act as the right hand to the Product Owner, translating strategic vision into scalable, business-driven planning solutions that improve financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of finance transformation expertise, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning knowledge, and business process improvement experience. This role will partner closely with Finance, IT, Product, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive roadmap execution, optimize planning models, and maximize user adoption.

Responsibilities: 
 

Product Execution & Ownership

• Partner with the Product Owner and IT Scrum Lead to execute the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Translate product vision into actionable epics, features, deliverables, and measurable business outcomes (OKRs).
• Drive initiatives from concept through implementation and successful adoption.
• Prioritize enhancements, new features, and defect resolution based on business value, urgency, and platform sustainability.
• Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones alongside IT teams.

Business Requirements & Planning Model Enablement

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with Finance and business stakeholders.
• Analyze business processes and translate requirements into functional specifications for SAC Planning solutions.
• Drive continuous enhancement and optimization of SAC Planning models based on business feedback.
• Ensure planning models remain scalable, high-performing, and aligned with best practices.
• Support planning model standardization while allowing flexibility for evolving business needs.
• Provide business sign-offs for planning models and enhancements delivered by IT.

Collaboration with IT & Cross-Functional Teams

• Partner with IT, developers, and data teams throughout solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Serve as the functional subject matter expert during implementation activities.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborate with IT to resolve defects before production deployment.
• Understand how business decisions impact enterprise data architecture and system integrations.
• Participate with IT in vendor forums and technology discussions to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Change Management & User Adoption

• Drive adoption of new SAC Planning capabilities across Finance and business users.
• Develop user documentation, training materials, and communication plans.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure effective utilization of planning tools.
• Measure business outcomes and communicate the value delivered through SAC Planning initiatives.
• Support continuous process improvement and finance transformation efforts.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Strong experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning.
• Experience supporting finance transformation, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning initiatives.
• Strong understanding of:

• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional solutions.
