Provider Onboarding and Integration Specialist (Fully Onsite)
Broward County, FL
Duration: 3 Months (possible extension or perm placement)
Shift:
- 8:00am – 5:00pm
Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and relationship focused Onboarding Specialist to support the successful integration of providers into our healthcare organization. This role serves as a key liaison between physicians, practice leadership, and hospital administration, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for newly hired providers, newly acquired practices, and providers transitioning into new facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, healthcare operations experience, and the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple departments and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for provider onboarding and integration activities across the health system.
- Provide subject matter expertise regarding onboarding processes, provider integration, and practice transitions.
- Facilitate the successful integration of newly hired physicians, advanced practice providers, and recently acquired physician practices into the organization.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships between hospital leadership, administrative teams, and providers.
- Coordinate onboarding activities across multiple departments including Human Resources, Credentialing, Information Technology, Operations, Revenue Cycle, and Clinical Leadership.
- Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables associated with provider onboarding and practice transitions.
- Provide project management oversight for physicians and practices transitioning into or out of the ambulatory division.
- Monitor onboarding progress and proactively address issues that may impact provider readiness or operational success.
- Ensure all onboarding requirements, documentation, training, and operational needs are completed within established timelines.
- Assist in developing and maintaining onboarding workflows, policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and status updates for leadership regarding onboarding and integration initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance the provider onboarding experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Project Management, or a related field required.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a supervisory or leadership role required.
- Experience supporting provider onboarding, physician relations, healthcare operations, practice management, or healthcare project management preferred.
- Experience working within a hospital, health system, medical group, or ambulatory care environment strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare information systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, executives, clinical staff, and operational leaders.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare operations, physician practice management, and provider onboarding processes preferred.
